Cudu Corn (Zea mays)

  • Cudu  Corn (Zea mays): in 1958 the seeds of a very particular native corn arrived at the germplasm bank of the United States of America, the white seeds looked like they had blue eagle on them. This variety was used for sacred rituals. Its seeds, however, are probably hybridized, they produce small, frail plants that, just like the cobs, hardly reach maturity. With a long, difficult selection work, that lasted more than five years, it is slowly being recovered. Ready in 75 days from transplant. A rare corn, for enthusiast of the species.
