Fidalgo Rose Chili Pepper (Capsicum chinense)

Fidalgo Roxa Chilli Pepper (Capsicum chinense): this variety is amongst the most decorative and tasty of the species. The berry, the size of a walnut, is shaped like a lantern, pink, sometimes with white or yellow stripes. The plant has purple leaves and stems, its reaches 1mt in height, and it's massively productive. It does well in vases as long as it is ample. The spiciness is high, about 100,000 shu, but low for the species that includes the hottest chili peppers in the world, thanks to this particularity you can appreciate those nuances that have made it a fundamental ingredient in Caribbean cuisine: intense aroma and a fruity taste, which warns and enchants, very interesting. Dried, it produces a very flashy pink-purple powder. A true beauty from Brazil.
