Giant Sunflower from Mongolia (Heliantus annuus)

Giant Sunflower from Mongolia (Heliantus annuus):  this incredible variety of sunflower is amongst the most productive of the species, not only for the gigantic size of the flower which diameter can reach up to 60 cm,  but also for the size of the seeds that reach up to 3 cm in length. Like all the ancient sunflowers, and unlike modern varieties, it is strongly melliferous.

Due to the very large size and the stem that reaches up to  4 mt, it needs fertile and worked soil for a correct development of the roots.

 Excellent at producing a large amount of edible seeds for both, human and animal consumption.
