Matador Spinach (Spinacea oleracea)

Matador Spinach (Spinacea oleracea): medium-sized variety, very productive, because of its rapid growth,  the outer leaves can be harvested very often, they hold a beautiful dark green colour and are particularly tender. It is a purely winter variety so it  does not tolerate temperatures above 20°C, however, it should not be less than 2°C. t is very rustic in addition to its rapid growth. This beauty is suitable for pot cultivation, reason why we have chosen it.

It is native to the Middle East and Central Asia. I was later spread through Europe and Russia where it became popular thanks to its organoleptic properties, its tolerance to winter weather and its productivity. Some varieties became the main winter crops for entire European countries, such as France's Viroflay spinach.
