  • Red Warty Thing Pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima): this beautiful pumpkin comes from the same grower who introduced the Hubbard Blue to the US market. At the end of the 19th century it entered the market with the name of "Victor Pumpkin". It then disappeared and showed up again in the early 2000s with the name "Cosa Rossa Bollosa",  not very creative but it provides a pretty good description of the variety. The pumpkin displays a beautiful red-orange colour and lumpy skin, the pulp is also dark orange and tastes sweet, it isn't fibrous and, and can reach up to 10 kg. The plant is rustic, averagely productive. This variety is also excellent for trading, it keeps well after harvest if sold whole, also, in some places it is sold in pieces, as the colour of the pulp is so pretty, it attracts the attention of anyone who sees it.
