Green Mbombo Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris)
Green Mbombo Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris): This is a rare type of climbing bean. Originally from Kenya or Congo, the plant produces lots of pods containing emerald green beans, with the typical, intense green beans' flavour.
Its main characteristic is its resistance to hot, torrid, dry climates. It is quite easy to cultivate, requiring only support, or a net proper for climbing plants. As It doesn’t need any help for growing, it is easy to for anyone to cultivate it, from beginners to collectors. It can also be eaten as green beans are.
Mbombo is also the name of the “God of Creation”, according to the mythology of the Kupa peoople of the Central-African country.
