Lao White Eggplant (Solanum melongena)

Lao White Eggplant (Solanum melongena): Rare eggplant from South East Asia, where it is an integral part of traditional cuisine. The plant is small, on average productive. The fruits are 8-10 cm, pure white a prelude to its flavour: delicate, almost sweet. They will turn yellow when ripe, which indicate it is the right time to get the seeds. For consumption, on the other hand, we recommend collecting them when they are still immature, for two reasons: better taste, and to avoid an excessive presence of seeds. Early variety without particular needs, suitable for growing in pots, even of small size.
