Hubbard Blue Pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima)
Hubbard Blue (Cucurbita maxima): this variety has been cultivated since 1854. Original from South America it was green but after an accurate selection it took its particular blue colour.
The fruits are quite big, they reach about 20kg and can be stored for long periods. The plant is very productive , ready in 110 days from sowing.
The pulp is just like every other "maxima", sweet and velvety.
Equally good for restaurants and self-production.
