Sacred Tulsi Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum): very important plant in Ayurveda medicine, considered sacred in India.
There are numerous healing properties attributed to it, the most important ones being analgesic, anti-inflammatory and digestive. The plant is easy to cultivate, it produces purple and white flowers which will be followed by numerous seeds.
To be sown in spring, some plants should be allowed to flower in order to collect the seeds; some others should get their tops trimmed for a greater production of leaves.
