Carosello Spuredda (Cucumis melo)
Carosello Spuredda (Cucumis melo): out of the Carosellos, the Spuredda is the one that looks most like a cucumber, to which it remains an excellent alternative.
It is consumed when still immature, it reaches up to 15 cm. Its pulp is crunchy and feels fresh, its flavour ranges between a melon and a cucumber.
Important! Caroselli are actually melons which means they can hybridize. Traditional variety from Southern Italy, from the beautiful Puglia, specifically.
