Seed Saving: Beginner
Wild Chicory (Cichorium intybus)
Wild Chicory (Cichorium intybus): Another peasant chicory, not to be confused with Dandelion; It is perennial, its taste is a bit bitter but it's still really good in many recipes.
There are many spontaneus varieties on our site, this is because people don’t often have the opportunity to acquire them, and clearly, having a higher offer makes it easier for them to be consumed.
Spontaneous varieties are the pinnacle of sustainability, rustic by definition, often perennial and prevailing over competition with other spontaneous ones; they don't have big demands on irrigation and do possess great nutritional properties.
To be sown in the spring.
