Moon and Stars Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus): ancient variety cultivated by the Amish communities, really striking to the eye! The fruits are dark-green-skinned covered in bright yellow dots, similar to a starry sky with a large moon. The fruits range from 45 to 60 cm and weigh 8/10 kg.
This variety as well as that of yellow pulp are cultivated by the Amish without the use of electrical energy, therefore they have reduced water needs and are particularly rustic. The plants are productive.The fruits are sweet and have a fresh taste. The leaves, like the fruit, will develop yellow dots while growing there is no need to worry, it is normal for this variety, which is also very ornamental.
