Winter Roman Lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. longifolia)

Winter Roman Lettuce (Lactuca sativa): this variety of Roman lettuce holds large, fleshy leaves, and is particularly resistant to cold. Its posture is more upright than the summer variety, and although they are both green this one holds a darker green.

It is very easy to cultivate,  and can be consumed by cutting the leaves and keeping the head so they grow again, or you can take just the whole head. Great variety for everyone, even for gardening enthusiasts that are not very experienced.
