Gem Glass Corn (Zea mays)
Gem Glass Corn (Zea mays): a spectacular variety, the cobs hold magnificent translucent gems, about 2 or 3 per plant, 15 - 20 cm.
The size of the plant depends a lot on the quantity of water and quality of the soil, it can be 1 to 2.5 mt. Ready in 75 days after sowing.
If you ever fancy adding some colour to your snacks, Gem Glass will bring a rainbow into your bowl.
A true wonder of nature!
How to make popcorn with Gem Glass:
First of all, save the best cob for the next planting season. From the others, take the grains and dehytrate them, you can use an oven at 50° for a few hours. The main thing to remember is that the corn needs the lowest humidity level in order to “pop”. Popcorn will be naturally white outside, but in the inside it will hold the Gem's colours.
