Mitoyo Eggplant (Solanum melongena)
Mitoyo Eggplant (Solanum melongena): The next on our series from Japan is named after the place where it's produced. The Mitoyo is large, and completely black, even the peduncle.
The pulp is white and compact, great in any recipe, even raw. The plant is early but not very productive. Its main characteristic is its taste, because it is, no doubt, the tastiest eggplant of all.
