Dwarf Persian Melon (Cucumis melo)
Dwarf Persian Melon (Cucumis melo): there is very little information about this dwarf, ancient variey. However, given its very low water requirements it is thought to be original from today's Iraq.
The fruit is aromatic, super tasty, and has silvery skin; it ripens very quickly, it is the first melon to be ready amongst the others.
The plant is not very productive, but it takes up little space and thrives even in harsh conditions. It does better in high temperatures during both, germination and in the early stages of growth; when it's already developed, it tolerates the cold better. It also adapts well to vase cultivation. Very rare ecotype, for collectors and Gourmands.
