Mini Bell Pepper (Capsicum annum)
Mini Bell Pepper (Capsicum annum): we have been growing these small, colourful peppers for a few years now, on the soil at the beginning and in pots lately so we can take them into the greenhouse on the first cold days and extend the production. The plant is very productive, the fruits display all shades in the yellow – orange spectrum. The taste is delicate, and the skin is so thin it is almost inexistent. They allow for many preparations, sautéed (when it remains crunchy), stuffed, fried, breaded. This is a quadrilobed pepper, not longer than 5-6 cm. It takes about 80 days to the first harvest.
The plant is not excessively vigorous, it gets to be about 60 cm tall hence it doesn’t need a very large pot. As the fruits are so numerous and colourful it is a very ornamental plant that will look great on your terrace or balcony. We love it and hope you will too!
