Calabrese Diavolicchio Chilli (Capsicum frutescens)

Diavolicchio Chili from Calabria (Capsicum frutescens): ancient, typical variety from Calabria. The plant is 60 to 80 cm tall, rustic and productive; the fruits tend to grow upwards, they are about 5 cm long and display a beautiful bright red colour.

It is mildly spicy and has a unique flavour that gives a special touch dishes. It is good however you consume it, dried, fresh, or fried, another Italian excellence from the fabulous land of Calabria.
