Cubanella Pepper (Capsicum annuum)
Cubanella Pepper (Capsicum annuum): a classic from the Caribbean recipes, specially from the major islands.
This bell pepper, shaped like a short horn, reaches 25 cm, it has very thin skin and intense green colour when immature, it then turns scarlet red when fully grown.
Its taste is mild, sometimes a bit spicy, barely noticeable. It is perfect for pan frying, since it has low liquid content; this feature also makes it suitable for quick cooking.
The plant reaches 60 cm in height, it's productive and early. It is ready in 65 days from transplanting.
