Alaska Tomato (Lycopersicon Lycopersicum): heirloom variety from Russia, Aljaska is the correct pronunciation, particularly suitable for cold climate.
The plant is precocious, bushy, with large laves and reaches 1.5 m in height; it produces a round tomato of bright color that weighs about 60 gm.
The taste is fresh, and sour. The pulp is soft but compact.
Suitable for salads, or quick cooking. In warmer climates, it can be sown until mid August for a late harvest.
